I live in edinburgh and need any idea`s on where`s the best place to hold a my son birthdat party.
I`m looking for a good place that`s fun for the kids and has a good theme or games that can keep the kids entertained.
The last one my son went to was his pal`s football party.
If anyone has any idea`s i would be grateful.
My son will be 5 and likes anything.

It might help if we knew the age of your son and what his interests are. :)

I mean, if the young chap`s 13, a suggestion of a clown and pin the tail on the donkey might fall a bit flat.

Thanks for the extra info.

It depends how many kids you want to invite and costs, I guess, but obvious suggestions are a family pub with a big kids-only play area with supervision (they will usually offer party packages), a trip to the cinema (again, a lot of multiplexes do party packages now), hiring a local hall and doing a disco (though 5 may be a little young for this), etc. My experience of our kids at that age is that any excuse to run around and let off steam usually worked well. However, introducing anything unfamiliar or competitive usually ended in tears before bedtime.

I also live in Edinburgh and have taken my 5 year old to a few parties at "The Jelly Club" in Peffermill, just off Cameron Toll. Bouncy castles, peddle cars, adventure play and they can even do the party food if you like. Don`t know any costs, have only been to other kids parties there.

The Corn Exchange at chesser has 10 pin bowling at the back.
High quality place.
I had my girls party there a couple of years ago.
they will give you a few rinks for the kids for about an hour and
then they have different room where they will feed them and
you can get the cake out.
It`s a lot better than Megabowl.
or
hire one of the party fire engines that do the rounds for the hen partys.
or
splash out and take them bowling in the fire engine and be the best
dad in the world. ;)
