Isn`t that David Beckham in the background? :)

Quite ironic really!! Fine Real Madrid for these idiots actions? The Bank of Spain will pay the fine anyway!! Another establishment that`s full of rascist/fascists.

The only way is for FIFA to hit the Spanish F.A. with some form of ban(s), not individual clubs.

Ban Real Madrid from the CL for 2 seasons - see how the finances and players attitudes to playing for a team with no Euro options does then - will hopefully set an example to other clubs too.

It`s not just Spanish clubs, but many places in Europe.

I think the only fair way is to make them play behind closed doors until they sort themselves out.

Why not throw them out of Europe, like they did with English teams back in the 80`s? Only seems fair.

i seem to rememeber after Heysel etc English clubs were banned from all European competition for i think 5 years?

I feel it quite justifiable for FIFA to impose a similar ban on Spanish Clubs, as a lesson to all those who are so complacent about the rascism out there...

Obviously UEFA will probably just fine the say £100K...

Although racism and bigotry are evil twins I cannot see them in the same light as the deaths of several supporters. As such the punishment for racist and bigoted bile has to be less than the punishment for what amounted to manslaughter.

Yes Real, and the Spanish F.A. should be punished and there is only one way to punish them.
That is to play the remaining home games Real will play in this years C/League and next years campaigns home games in an empty stadium.
The same applies to the Spanish national games. The remaining W/Cup games and the whole of the following Euro campaigns home games played behind closed doors.

Fines are completely and utterly meaningless unless a fine of tens of millions of Euros is imposed. Though some may advocate that level of fine it would not be the most effective deterrent as the cretins would still attend matches and vent their spleen on all and sundry.
Playing the games behind closed doors denies the cretins the chance to spout their uneducated bile at any games and if they were to spout the same bile on the streets then the local authorities would be entitled to and compelled by current Euro legislation to act on the offences as they would fall under some of the legislation regarding human rights issues.
