Sigh. The Great BSkyB world sport domination continues...
BSkyB have obtained the rights to show all England International Cricket including Women`s and all domestic games. The only terrestrial cricket will be daily highlights for test matches on Channel Five.
So much for the ECB trying to make Cricket appeal to the masses.
:( :( :( :(

Cricket`s bad enough,but womens` cricket ????
SKY would be as well televising live paint-drying....
:/ :p

The ECB was split between money and exposure for the game. On the one hand, BSkyB were offering £80 million for the English game but limited exposure. The other offer was for tens of millions less but greater exposure. It`s sad but money talks.

Hooray! Finally my favourite C4 programmes won`t be cancelled for a week or two just because some bloody test match is on. :)

It`s a minority sport.
You should be glad anyone is picking it up.

I hate Sky. As well as having practically exclusive highlights of all foorball, they steal the cricket. Oh well, At least I`ll be able to listen to the test match special.

Yeah, damn the way they dragged football from some of its darkest days and helped transform it into the most entertaining league in the world.
Damn the way their coverage is comprehensive, informative and fantastically entertaining, with superb spin-off shows like soccer am.
Damn the way they also cover sports that wouldn`t,and didn`t,get a sniff of TV coverage before they came along.
Damn them to hell.
:/

I can`t afford sky. Even if I could afford Sky I wouldn`t be able to afford sky sports. But then the average DVD collection seems to be 200 in size, so I suppose its to be expected that all of you are rich.
I hate monopolies.

Aaah,so your tirade wasn`t based on the fact that your sport might,in some way,be compromised by SKY.
No,it was purely your own selfishness being aired.
I see.
;)
SKY,including the sports package,is under £10 a week.
Under £10 a week.
£1.43 a day.
You seriously cannot afford £1.43 a day ???? :/
Don`t bother throwing the `rich` thing at me either as I`m far from rich.
Lucky if I own 20 DVD`s,never mind 200.
I don`t buy,I rent.
I do prioritise my expenditure though, and SKY is an essential in our house.
