Broke my motorcycling duck!
Well, a day earlier than planned I plucked up the courage to take out my bike for the first time. :o
I only went from my mother`s house up to mine (about 5 miles - if that!). Terrified all the way, stalled a couple of times, over-revved all the time, forgot to indicate, forgot to turn off indicators, missed gears, almost got squished by a bus. :/
I chose a pretty bad route though. A couple of major roundabouts, and loads of traffic "calming" chevrons!
There was quite a bit of traffic on the roads, so I might have been better waiting until tomorrow (I am actually more nervous about going out tomorrow now than I was earlier today!)
My god, my hands are still shaking!
So, to the bikers out there, does all this sound familiar, or am I just a wuss??

You will get used to it very soon. ;)
Is that the time? Give me a minute and I will be there when I finish on the comp!

Just keep humming `Things can only get better` by D:Ream! Try not to think of the 1997 election though!

Just sit down and read a copy of `Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance` and you`ll be ready to jump back on and ride forever!! Well, as far as your Mum`s anyway!! ;)

I was s***ting bricks my first time on a bike. In my day, you bought the provisional. The bike + insurance. Off you went. No helmet required. Wind in your hair, bugs in your teeth. Thought you were invincible.
Your confidence will build and you`ll get used to the bike. Just don`t get overconfident and remember to have your headlight on during the day.

Actually, I forgot to turn it on, but realised when I got to my house, so I have left it in the on position so it will be on tomorrow.
I`m very glad I wore the tabbard, I could actually see drivers noticing me as I wobbled along.
Glad to hear that I`m not alone in cacking myself the first time out though.
Cheers peeps!

I dread to think what I would be like on a powerful bike if I am scared of a SR125! :D
