DVDBoxOffice - New World Record

Rob.B (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 12th September 2000, 22:25

On Saturday 9th Sept I visited dvdboxoffice and proceeded to order The Usual Suspects online. Today 12th Sept after arriving home from work I find a note from Postman Pat saying they have a parcel awaiting my collection as they were unable to deliver it. As far as I know I`m not due any other items, so, if in fact this is my DVD is it a record??

DVD BoxOffice despatch to the UK 1 or twice a month to there UK depot, you probably ordered your DVD`s just before there dispatch date!

Which makes you half God, Half jammy sod as the rest of us have to wait 7 - 14 day`s.

does anyone know DVD BO`s dispatch dates to the uk?

Maybe they are on the 8th and 24th of each month, at a guess based on his fast delivery dates. :-)

One thing that puzzles me is DVDBO dispatched only 1 dvd to you, which can easily fit through the letterbox!

And as they deliver 1st class and not Recorded it should have been simply posted like a letter and not taken back to the delivery office.

This is what they do with mine anyway.

Sorry Rob Simple math is not my forte!

but you could be wrong so hold onto that cheesy grin.

I have two DVD`s waiting with them so I will know in a week or two?

one of them is the cult british horror Lifeforce which includes an extra 15 minutes of unseen footage, but then again some people say the whole movie should never have been shown:P

oh yeah the other is excalibur

That did have me wondering as to whether or not it is my dvd awaiting me at the delivery office. Though saying that when I received one from play247 Pat didn`t drop it through the letterbox he woke me up to give it to me. Just have to wait until Saturday as that it the earliest I can get there to pick it (whatever it is) up.

That`s because play use RECORDED DELIVERY which must be signed for.

I gues play dont like having to send a second copy to anyone if the first mysteriously disapears:P
