Some people eh?.... right or wrong?
In the grand spirit of public messageboards you may have seen this...

Nothing wrong with that...but just shows the slightest opportunity and someone will try to sell anything for a few quid.

I`m too lazy and not public spirited enough, but some kind soul could email the bidders with a link to this site :D
Don`t think of yourself as an ugly person. Think of yourself as a beautiful monkey!

Also the point that if it *is* just the firmware image (as it sounds), it may be copyright of Targa ;)

I was going to ask the seller if the info was the same as the info here http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=176&Thread=377240&Type=1

All the best,
The 42%er.
It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

I just get depressed by the fact that some `mass profit orientated global gits` sat round a table at the very introduction of DVD players and decided to introduce built in regional zones within the disk, to divide the `expensive rippoff DVD price` regions from `cheap DVD price` regions.
At least manufactures have given into demand and there are many DVD players now available that are region free (without the need for hacking).

Actually, the real reason was for staggering release dates.
Hardly any point in a DVD being released in the states that could be viewed on any player worldwide, when other countries still had it in the cinemas.
Of course, this is now a much lesser extent now (although still some titles to be had like this...I got Looney Tunes BIA about a month before it went into our cinemas to name but one), and I`d put that down to mass de-regionalisation.
BTW, most "big" manufacturers (Sony, Panasonic etc) will still hard code their players and keep a very very tight reign on remote codes/remote sequences/firmware CDs.
