Driving Test question

David Beckett (Reviewer) posted this on Friday, 7th January 2005, 09:58

You are driving along a two-lane road and you observe a `no overtaking` sign. If you then approach a bicycle rider in your lane do you:
a) follow this slow moving bicycle rider for the next 2 miles?
b) break the law and overtake?

Be honest and make a choice before clicking on the link.

You`re allowed to overtake as long as you don`t go over the solid white line in the centre of the road.

But, you`re m,eant to give a bike as much room as your would a car, therefore you shouldn`t overtake, and looking at the picture above, and the picture linked, that would be the recommended course of action

If it was her time of the month, and the biker insisted she wear a panty liner even if she insisted on nothing else...

...could she feel the wind beneath her wings?

The theoretical situation involved a bicycle, not a motorbike...

I think my answer still stands.

Not having clicked the link yet.......you can overtake AND cross the solid white line if the `vehicle` is travelling less than 10 mph.
