RE: HAVEN HOLIDAY PARKS - OPINIONS PLEASE!
Have been to Haven site for last few years. Until this year, we have generally been to devon Cliffs near Exmouth during Whist holidays and then to Warmwell in Dorset during October school holidays (but this isn`t Haven this year). Both were good for that time of year but my sister has taken her family in summer holidays and said it was PACKED
We have also been to Primrose Valley near Scarborough. This was a bit on the large sprawling size but they were about to spend some money renovating the facilities when we were there (couple of years ago).
What are they like depends on what you want. There is always something to do if you want to go an look. My two children are 11 and 7. This year we noticed we didn`t do as much as normal mainly because We had great weather so only decision to be made was beach or pool.
The entertainment is generally varied with something for everyone. Overall its a good family holiday, made all the more enjoyable if you`re willing to take part in activities and join in the enteratinment.

My kids love hemsby they even decided to go there instead of florida one year they have good entertainment, soccer school, archery ,go karts with lots of theatre and plays for the kids to watch and the accommadation is on par with pontins and butlins if you get a chalet.

Devon Cliffs? Been there twice and pulled on both occasions. First time was one of the barmaids, and you don`t want to know what we got up to in the alleyway behind Dusty`s.
As for the parks themselves, it`s white-trash central. Soon to be Chav central. They`re great places, don`t get me wrong, and the criminally underpaid staff do a wonderful job entertaining the masses, but as the holidays are `cheap and cheerful`, you tend to get a lesser quality of crowd.
Sorry if it sounds a bit snobbish, just letting you know what to expect. Large groups of burberry wearing kids hanging around looking intimidating, while their elisabeth duke dripping parents and babies with pierced ears shout at each other while drinking all afternoon in the over-priced bars.
Loved it every time. we had the Krankies at Weymouth in `03
