Hard to believe they haven`t been in the top flight for *half my life*! I vividly remember when they went down, IIRC it all depended on goal difference so we were checking the score of another team and keeping fingers crossed. It doesn`t feel like it`s been 12 years at all.

Sweetest thing would be if Wednesday dropped - is it still possible?

Well done to the Blades, I`ve always liked Neil Warnock.

Sheff Wed 1-0 Norwich
Sheffield Wednesday took a massive step towards Championship survival thanks to Marcus Tudgay`s winner against Norwich.

Tudgay latched on to a hopeful long ball, wrong-footed the defence and although his shot was saved he followed up with a looping header into the net.

Deon Burton hit the post twice and was also denied by Norwich keeper Paul Gallacher while Ian Henderson twice went close to replying for Norwich.

With three games left the Owls need one more win to be certain of staying up.

Maybe just need to settle for 1 out of 2 xfilesgurly.

So if they didn`t win any and those below them won all theirs it *could* happen...?

I know I should be satisfied, but Wednesday going down would be comedy gold.

Outstanding. Couldn`t help thinking back today to that numb feeling 12 long years ago when we were sent down. Its taken a hell of a long time but we`ve finally put it right :) :) :)

Bring on Tuesday. Should be fantastic.

Bloody hell didn`t realise it had been 12 years since you had top flight football, time flies when you`re having fun, just hope we keep doing our usual trick of bouncing straight back.
I know we aren`t relegated yet but the way Portsmouth are playing i can see Birmingham and WBA being the ones going down :( :(

As a Manchester United fan I welcome more easy 3 point games, especially now Sunderland have gone.

Because Sunderland was an easy 3 point game, wasn`t it!

Congrats to Colin and his Palace rejects (and everyone else associated with the Blades) from Palace fans - at least you`re not going to return the favour of your play-off defeat in 1997! Had a horrible feeling that would come back to haunt us. Hope to see you in the Premiership next season, although we`ve still got another meeting this season to come first.
