Am I the only person watching this then?

Been good so far, it feels like the season might really start to kick in soon because they have been reworking the characters after finishing off most of the long running storylines at the end of series 3.

I`ll post as soon as I`m up to date. Season 1 is 75% downloaded ;) so could be a while but I`ll be back.

tbh, i gave this one a go, i got the first season & watched 3 or 4 eps, but it jsut seemed to lack any real substance :( more an excuse to swear & use profanity for little or no reason (so much so it fell out of character)

does it get any better ?

Yeah it does get better, I wasn`t too impressed after the first few episodes myself but as it kicks in the characters flesh out a bit more.

I think series 2 is probably the best series so far though.

admars- All series 4 is available now although only the first five have aired :D

Supposedly they are from critics screening or something, I`d seen them all available but had assumed that they were fakes and was going to investigate but my mates told me he`s got them so just going to get a copy of the dvd off him.

You don`t get this kind of service with 24, Lost and Prison Break.

Although this can`t help the viewing figures in America :/ but they`ve announced that the 5th series that`s been greenlit in America will be the last series so who cares ;)

I`ve watched the first 8 episodes of series 1 and I`m getting into it, good stuff.

Series 2 is downloading at the moment, I`ll catch up soon enough!!

Thumbs up from me 1mills, enjoyed all the seasons.

Some good story lines and interesting characters along the way, especially Omar. I like the way they brought the young ones into season 4 as well.

I`ll definitely be watching season 5 :D

Just had an FX email, Season 4 of the Wire starts Tue 13th Feb at 22:00.

irony is, the few ppl who get/watch FX, are probably the same few who have already seen it by other means!
