Page 1 of New US TV Show: Daybreak
General Forum
This new show was on ABC tonight and so far looks pretty good.
Think Groundhog day but more drama than comedy.
Worth getting if you catch my drift ;)

RE: New US TV Show: Daybreak
Thought it might be a jump at the Life on Mars band wagon too.
....and you thought life was tough
The premise (and the bitesize Lost bits put in the ads to make people watch...) didn`t really make me excited about it - but I`ve heard very good things from Americans who watched it last night, so I`m quite eager to watch it now. I`m really hoping I get into it, I need a new show to replace Justice kept for Friday evening viewing.

Is this a mini series or a full season?
A bit uncertain about it after reading the preview, they probably won`t be able to drag it out that long surely? If it`s only 6 or 8episode it sounds good, but any longer may start to drag.

What`s that about then? I`m in work and have no speakers so can`t watch trailer. To be honest I was suprised it wasn`t in the top pages on google when I searched for it.

It`s 13 episodes, and (hearteningly) the intention is for the story to be told within those 13 episodes. So it`ll take us up to Lost coming back.
They`ve got mini "webisode"-style snippets of Lost (new footage) that will air during the ads for Daybreak, but apparently they`re not saying when, so US Lost fans have to watch all the eps *and* all the advertising. ABC are *cunning*. :D:D Obviously they`ll end up on YouTube, etc

Right, I completly misunderstood you originally. I thought you were saying there were bits similar to Lost in the trailer to try and get people who like Lost to watch it. Doh :/
Their idea is a hell of a lot better to get people to watch it :D How long before shows start doing full on crossovers, where you only find out the twist or backstory by watching another show, or by buying 10 Mcdonalds meals.
I think I`ll give it a blast then, there will only be Heroes still on in a couple of weeks otherwise :(

They already tried this with Lost - American Express holders get "exclusive" info... :/

Did they get told when there was actually a new episode on last year then ;)

I got the first couple of episodes last year and then had problems with my broadband, and never got around to catching up on them. I might have a scan after to see if the boxset for first series is cheap enough anywhere (although I`m skint :( ) because then I will only have to download series 2.
