Page 1 of Blueyonder Internet failure.....!

Did anyones Blueyonder internet fail today? Tried to access it around 1.30pm today and nothing happened. Rang Telewest and they stated it was a problem on their half and it should be up and running by 6.30. It finally came on around 8.30!!!

More of a PCs and Mobiles topic innit? It goes down in different regions all of the time. Speed has been crap lately as well, and it`s only gonna get worse when they introduce the bandwidth throttling...

Do you have any more info on the proposed bandwidth throttling, Chris?

Blueyonder are good at telling customers the good news but tend to keep the bad news buried away somewhere!

They`re trialling it somewhere up North at the moment. No news on when/whether it`s going to be rolled out nationwide, although with my recent speeds I could be forgiven for thinking that it already has. To be fair I do get over a megabyte a second downloading the Kermode podcast from the BBC or test files directly from Blueyonder, but general browsing has been pretty bad of late. It`s much worse to US sites.

Blueyonder fault was an ip address issue at the server end. Pretty much a nationwide problem.

I shall mention the bandwidth throttling when I phone threatening to cancel :)
