Page 1 of fridge freezer help...please!!

The freezer section of our upright fridge/freezer seems to be slowly defrosting from the top shelf downwards.

There is a little ice tray that is no longer ice and the stuff in the top draw is not properly frozen but the other 3 drawers are o.k.

I`ve turned it up but that doesn`t seem to have made any difference but i can hear the motor going?

Help!!

I would suggest manually defrosting it. I discovered from a fridge service engineer when one of the bottle coolers at work went wrong, the condenser system that should do the automatic defrosting gets iced up and this makes the fridge get warm because it is insulating the coolant and the more you turn it up the worse it gets. It has happened several times on my fridge freezer when the door has not been fully shut.
