Page 1 of NERO photo disc question
General Forum
I want to make up photo discs that i can show via my Philips 711, using Nero V5. A friend made up a disc for me to rty o n my player, worked fine, but when I tried to use the same program , it would not register my player, "this version of NERO will only burn on the recorder it is bundled with.....", yes, I know that`s a little bit naughty, I borrowed his NERO disc, slapped wrist & all that.
My question is quite simply is there a way around this hiccup, or can I do it in MGI photosuite platinum V5?
Cheers guys.
RE: NERO photo disc question
I think NERO uses the serial number that you give it to decide what sort of licence you have ie whether it should work with any cd writer or just a particular model. You can enter a new serial number in the help menu.
OK, I`ll show a bit more ignorance, where will I get the serial no. cos I never had to enter one on install
As much as I like Nero its not the best program for Photo CD`s
A good program is WinOnCD 3.8 or above. With this program you can add photos and music in different folders and upto 99 photos.
I have not tried it yet but I have seen a mates disc and it looks very good.
I think you can get a trial version.

RE: NERO photo disc question
What you need to do is use the vcd utilty then drag and drop your jpegs this will create a VCD or SVCD and you will be able to play your disk in any dvd which can play vcds burnt on a cdr

RE: NERO photo disc question
Ravi,
I`m sure you were just being helpful, but, posting a serial number, breaches the forum rules, (licensing agreements etc), I`d duck if I were you!

Not to worry, sussed it in the end. Cheers for the tips, btw Micoman, in Nero I got over 200 pics onto a disc nae bother!!!
