RCE disks are wider than normal ones so they stretch your arse more and a therefore more painful.

seriously though, RCE stands for Region Code Enhanced and it`s a tactic implemented by a few of the major distributors on their Region 1 DVDs. What it does is make the disc ask the player to play a none R1 disc and if it does then it fails to load, if it can`t play a none R1 disc then it loads as normal. This means if you have your player set to multiregion or R0 RCE discs will not play but if you can manually change the region with each DVD every time you watch a dvd of another region then for all intents and purposes the player is of your specifeid region and will play RCE discs.
