James corden show last night

Normally I`m not the type of person who easily gets offended but last night James corden show really pushed my buttons. The little prick of a comedian who wasn`t remotely funny decided to label the german team as "Nazis" and get a laugh out of James corden for it. That`s not funny people, it`s racism.
I`m half tempted to complain to ofcom so that the guy can get a slapped wrist. The added benefit would be that James corden gets taken off my screen.

The BNP get labelled as Nazi`s and they are not even German

Just goes to show how daft people are

BTW Baddiel & Skinner were much better

Not anymore offensive than the `2 world wars and 1 world cup` crap that gets spouted by fans and the media usually. In fact the difference here was that he didn`t mean it. Even the BBC commentators couldn`t help but get a dig in against the Germans (and the war) the other night and that for me is a damn sight worse than a flippant punchline on a late night football comedy show.

It`s a cheap dig appealing to the lowest common denominator, which is why the tabloids spout this drivel every time. It`s also a tad hypocritical when this xenophobic crap makes copy, but all the ABE stuff is outrageous racism.

Agree with Ben here.

Not really offensive, not remotely funny at the same time either.

I can assure you that I am not. On this occasion however I feel that it is entirely inappropriate to declare people Nazis simply because they happen to be of German nationality. That is racism and we are saying its acceptable. Are we now saying its acceptable to declare that all Afghan`s are Taliban? I think not and what that "comedian" said is effectively the same thing.
I wonder how much of this tolerance to his comments is actually down to the age old English V Germans rivalry meaning its now become acceptable to use racist terms against each other. Had England ended up playing Ghana on Sunday and this guy labelled the Ghana team a bunch of n*****s then there would be a public outcry but because the butt of his joke was the Germans and "no one like them" its now acceptable. Hypocricy at its best.

For the record, that`s Xenophobia, not racism!

Generally people find Xenophobia far more acceptable, like calling Welsh sheep shaggers, Scottish supporting anyone but England in the World Cup... and so on.

Not saying that makes any of it okay, since both your nationality and ethnicity is an accident of birth, much like being ginger.
