Page 1 of JURASSIC FAILS ON WHARFEFDALE

I have got the region 2 version of Jurassic park and it plays the movie fine.

The problem is it Does not like some of the features esp. Foley Artist Features.

It freezes and the starts clicking as though it`s seeking the tracks.

This is the first disc I have had any problems with plays everything else I have Region 1 & 2.

Have you a) made sure the disk is clean and b) used a cleaning CD to make sure the pickup lens is clean. That roaming noise sounds like it is looking for tracks, and that can be caused by muck overloading the error correction system.

The disc is spotless... ie out of the thrink wrapping..

believe me it`s clean.....

Why does yours work ?... It works up to the point where you see the finish sequence and the little dino is bursting out then it stops.

I have Final Destination on Region 1 and MI2 on Region 1 and they work faultlessly... ESP considering MI2 is intensive on the menus.

I have a copy of High Fidelity and Keeping the Faith on R1 and when I try to press on the main menu, it goes to the deleted scene and crash! I have resteart the machine and to go to chapter list and select the first chapter to watch the film. funny both DVD are produced by touchstone home video, but it works fine on my friend`s samsung player ! very annoyning

This is the foley artists section of the Extra features.

It happens everytime even and that was straight out of the shrink wrap.

There must be a fault with this disc and the DVD 750 Firmware CBE8 which I have. By the way it plays Jaws fine on region 2.

I sent this to Wharfedale and they said phone the Tesco Support line. So I will. I’d say we have a problem with this disc.

Anyone else had this.

Not quite the same scenario as I have the newest revision of the 750S and I went for the R1 DTS version of Jurassic Park.

On this version the extra features don`t include the Foley artists item so can`t test that particular bit, however I have tested all of the other features and don`t see any problems.

So not sure whether this is because the R1 is so different or whether its the new 750S firmware thats helping.

I`ll see if I can borrow an R2 copy and test that section for you and report back.

I`m a bit p***ed with wharfedale because they are just direcrting me to the tesco helpline.
