RE: POLL: Frankie Boyle is a..
I haven`t seen the papers, but missus told me that it was front page news, about him using the N word and P word.
As far as I can see, from watching the show he was taking the **** out of ignorant/racist people. a mate is in the navy, and he says he has been shocked at some of the Alf Garnet era terms still used by his superiors :(
i didn`t vote, as I don`t think he`s a comic genius. Tamadril Nights his stand up bit are generally very funny, even if sometimes he is just going for shock value.
the sketches however are very hit and miss. Often as if he likes Chris Morris so much, he wants to do Jam/Blue Jam, but the sketches aren`t quite surreal enough for that, but often aren`t funny enough to make you laugh, so you get what he`s trying to do, but he doesn`t quite make it.

comedy genius no, racist, no funny definitely
Had the misfortune to work with this twat on his last tour. He is a complete Cnut! Basically told all the local crew to f#ck off all day. He`s banned from our venue!
IN MADNESS YOU DWELL
I can`t get away with the bloke, my mates crack on about how funny he is but after watching both his Live Dvds i really dont see what the fuss is, he tries to be shocking and dark but comes across like a Scottish Chubby Brown going for the easiest possible jokes that seem like they are written with teenagers as a target audience. Plus HE thinks he`s a lot funnier than i do which makes him seem all the more a cNut . Jimmy Carr, Jim Jeffries and Jason Rouse are all far superior at this style of comedy IMO.
Merry Christmas

I couldn`t find the option of "****er" in the poll... which he came across to me as when I first saw him and anything I`ve heard from him is as funny as stubbing your toe getting out of bed in the morning.
TBH I think enemy`s reference to RCB is a bit of an isult... to the fat chubby one ;)

Let`s make no bones about it. He didn`t want to make a gag about Jordan, because everyone`s already done that, and the woman is a walking punchline anyway, so he decided to make a name for himself by making disgusting and puerile gags about a mentally and physically handicapped child who has no concept of the world around him. If he isn`t aware of the cruel jibes aimed at him, does that make it ok?
OF COURSE IT F***ING DOESN`T YOU DESPICABLE PIECE OF S***

I liked him on `Mock the week` and Ive seen some of his live shows on dvd and found them funny in parts, he does come across at times to be just thinking of something that will shock and offend rather than a funny joke or observation (Jimmy Carr for example says some outragous things but theres thought behind it...ironically Boyle used to be a scriptwriter for the tv show `distraction` fronted by Jimmy Carr...) As others have said hes very `Chubby Brown` at times and Id rather stab myself in the face with a fork than watch Chubby Brown, I cannot see why anyone finds that man funny
Tramadol nights is frankly awful, Im more offended at the fact its so poor than anything he says or does on the show, the standup is ok but most of the sketches are woeful
So I dont think hes a comic genius, but I dont think he should be banned from TV, I just think hes not as funny as he thinks he is, or a comedy sketch show is way beyond his skills

I must admit he gets a bit to much for me on his one man show but I like him in small doses when he features on Mock The Week or Live at The Apollo.
Is it me or am I the only one who can see through the gag that`s causing most of the uproar, (i.e. Jordan, Andre)?
The way I see it he is cleverly directing the humour, (if you can call it that), not at the handicapped offspring but at the feckless parents, which in my opinion deserve everything that comes at them.
I just wish he would start on the equally feckless audience that these Katie and Peter shows actually attract and also the producers of these shows that seem to think that this is the type of quality television that the viewing public want.
