Page 1 of Sales Price matching
General Forum
I purchased some items just before christmas, that have since come down in the sales, it comes to over £80.
Do any of you experts know what the consumers rights are with this in mind?
Is it recoverable?
Cheers for any tips.

Is it recoverable?Nope.
Not even five minutes after you purchased it unless the store specifically states it guarantees it`s prices or made a mistake with the initial pricing/till charge.
That`s why they call it a "sale", because prices are reduced for purchases now. If they price matched everything after the event then they would be as well just dropping the price all year round or giving it away.

You don`t have any `consumer rights` as such. Just because you`ve changed your mind, price has come down etc.
However, if it`s from a reputable store you can usually take things back anyway for a full refund (way above your statutory rights) for about a month (but some places that don`t offer this in general do offer it over the Christmas period) and then often re-buy it at the sale price. I`ve taken something back to Next for example and got the refund and then asked to buy it again straight away - no problem. :)
