Sky Atlantic (and it`s not coming to Virgin :( )
Sky Atlantic to launch next month with Scorsese drama
Shame as I was looking forward to seeing a lot of shows I already watch on Ch4 and BBC that had been poached, and new ones like Treme, Boardwalk Empire etc in HD :( other means it is then, maybe time to invest in a HTPC after all for those mkv files ;)

Unfortunately another loss to $ky. This sort of thing just drives people to the download sites. Ofcom or whatever they call themselves should be ashamed of themselves.

I don`t quite get Sky`s obsession with multiple channels, they can barely fill one non-sport/movie channel with content worth watching let alone spreading it across others to create some kind of brand they`ll no doubt dump in a few years when they realise nobody watches them.

Oh, I get them. This new channel will be their justification for yet another price increase!

I might start counting the amount of times stuff is repeated, then call up and ask if I can reduce my payments by the same ratio... Dave seems to be on a 4hr daily loop... could make my bill 6 x smaller.

Its says in the paper toay that this new channel with be an extra fiver a month to unscramble it, so I am not interested as Sky is too dear as it is.

[Google have marked freeimagehosting.net as a hoster of malware, therefore this link has been removed]I heard David Attenborough had a justified rant about the BBC`s drop in standards (Strictly Sh*te...give me a break!) which is a pathetic attempt to copy other rubbish on TV.
I agree with someone at work who proposed that `celebs` should have to pAy to be on prime time TV; I mean if dog food has to pay to be on TV, I don`t see why some tangerine faced wannabe shouldn`t. And then give subsidy for `educational` value, or something.
What do you reckon?

I`ll need to check this out as the fact HBO were on it (and being the origin of things like The Sopranos) gave me the final kick to go for HD (albeit for 6 months free/6 months paid).
Thought if anything else cool came from HBO it would justify my £60 for the year but if it`s going to be another fiver on top then my HD sub is gonna be going bye bye.

Funny, I was flicking around Virgin (Ontheridiculous) counting how many channels they could ditch without me missing any and I lost count somewhere around the MTVs. I also was amazed by how lousy the bandwidth was on a lot of channels (take a bow QVC). Isn`t it time somebody said something about quality over quantity and had a channel cull?

This link says it is free to all Sky subscribers, and I read elsewhere that it`s included in the Sky Variety package - that`s the one that`s £24 a month, that I have. So if there is a £5 a month fee, it must be for non-subscribers, like they do for the Disney channels.
