They make some good points, but I see there`s nothing about Jedi being an option. It might seem fun at the time, but it still goes down as a religion, skewing the results

I cannot see by telling them whether you a Christian, Muslum, Jew, Athiest or even devil worshiper, has anything to do with a Census.

Unless they want to turn all the religous buidings into future Bingo halls, oh, they have all ready done that :D

If more than a certain percentage of the population declare that they are religious, more money is given to religious causes. If fewer people declare they aren`t religious, then that money will hopefully be spent on other causes that have a better chance of a tangible outcome..

Hey, If you find comfort and solace from your faith, then I`m genuinely happy for you, but when Annie`s nan died, she drew comfort and love from her friends and family, who were there, tangible, and more importantly, answered back when talked to...

Well, I`m filling in our census online at the appropriate time.  I think the census is worth doing - I`ve learned a hell of a lot about my ancestors trawling the past censuses - including the revelation that one great-great grandfather put himself down on the census under an assumed name presumably to do a moonlight flit when the rent was due.  Another great-great-great grandfather married the nurse who looked after his ailing wife in her last years, resulting in all the kids leaving home within the following three years.

Never have known that without the censuses for 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901.  And if they didn`t want so much money for extracting data from it, I`d be doing the 1911 census.

I`m sure they can work out what % of them are lies. ;)

I think census` are important, admittedly you could use the data for bad purposes, but then you can equally use them for good.
