Page 1 of Any CGI Artists In Tonight?

If so, what package do you recommend?  I`ve played with MakeHuman and DAZ Studio 4, wasn`t impressed, and I`m dithering about going for a paid package like Poser.

As Rob said, it depends on what you`re wanting to do - I assume you`re referring to 3D only? If you`re looking at doing hard-surface modelling (eg tech stuff - cars, building etc) then I`d recommend Maxon Cinema 4D - everything on my site has been created with C4D: www.jamiemartindesign.co.uk

If you`re looking more at sculpting, and creating organic forms, then one program that has been recommended to me (but I haven`t yet used) is Modo

Actually, now I come to think of it, doesn`t Maya offer a learning edition with some limitations (like a burnt in watermark)?
