Page 1 of Is X-Box dvd add on multi region??

Hey,
My friend got an X-Box today along with the DVD add on and it made me wonder if the add on enabled your x box to be a multi regional player or not, he doesnt know. Does anyone know???

Why don`t you try it and see? Put in a Region 1 disk and have a go. But I think there will be a way round, since the X-box is basically a PC so it can`t be that hard to make it multiregion.

Microsofts DVD addon for the X-Box should be coded to specific region, I believe a DVD Region X is being released to make it multiregion.

if you buy the region 2 remote, it plays region 2 only
if you get your remote from the states, it will play region 1 only

region x is out soon, so should then be all regions!

you checked out the dvd playback? It`s the equivalent of a £500 player!!
