Definitely the coolest ever. Wonder how much harder it is to ride with them on? Must affect the air resistance at least a bit.

The whole kickstarter thing continues to confuse me though. It used to be about getting funding to bring a product to market that would never have got to market otherwise, and now it seems far too much of a substitute for the investor/money borrowing route.

Why risk borrowing money if our business fails, or giving over equity to investors when we can get a load of people on the internet to just GIVE us money for nothing!

I`m sure they could be made in an aerodynamic casing. As for kickstarter, I can understand investing if you are going to get first dibs on something you want.

I can too, but so often it seems to be "pay some money now and then when we've spent all your money on developing and manufacturing it, we'll then sell it to you afterwards for even more money with little or no risk ourselves, and we'll be making profits from the start" as opposed to "invest in our company and if it turns out to be a success you'll get a return on your investment."

It might all be for naught. I remember someone doing this on car hubcaps a few years ago. All was going swimmingly until they were deemed illegal as they would be a glaring distraction to other road users
