BBC take down clock from website because of complaints

Erm:

And for TL;DRers out there...

BBC website had a clock on it, which showed the local PC time (basically if you use Windows, whatever Windows says the time is in the bottom right of your screen), someone complained that it wasn't accurate if your PC wasn't, so BBC have pulled the clock from their webpage.

And they claim it would take 100 staff days to fix it, which is the most wonderful kind of rubbish I've heard for a while.

I'm not sure which side is the most stupid.

Do you think Windows will take my PC clock away because its not accurate? Its ten minutes fast in a vain attempt to make me on time :)

You do know its fast, but when you`re rushing around and just glance at it, then you don`t realise so you end up leaving ten minutes earlier than you think it is!  All of my clocks say a different time, to within a ten/fifteen minute period so I have to go by the fastest as I actually have no idea what the time is most of the time :)
