I'm quite squeamish and there wasn't anything to be squeamish about, unless you think the car is human? :)

Hard to tell from the footage how fast the Lambo was going, didn't seem to be going insanely fast, depends how much breaking he did before hitting the person who was pulling out without looking.

I've heard Aventadors driving around London streets. They're loud, but not this loud. He was pegging it, evidenced by the fact he went airbourne due to the rapidly diminishing momentum. Avent brakes stop on a ninepence. If he'd been doing 30 then a) he would have stopped in time and b) he would have had enough time to react to the Mazda moving SLOWLY into the road ahead

I think it was the Mazda's fault.  It was pulling out from a side road.  Sure, the Lambo was probably going a bit quick, but that doesn't excuse pulling out in front of it.

It's hard to tell from a camera phone with auto-level recording. It's possible based on the footage there that the Lambo was driving along at 30 then saw the car pulling out, lifted off rather than breaking thinking they'd seen him and wouldn't be pulling out all the way.

The street looks quite straight so it's hard to see how they couldn't have noticed the sports car unless they weren't really looking properly.

The Aventador is about 3-4 feet tall. If there was a line of parked cars obstructing the Mazda's view of the road, they probably couldn't see the car moving at speed what with all the metal in the way. This is my initial theory from the get-go. If the road was clear then absolutely it was the Mazda Drivers' fault, but I reckon the combination of low ride height of the Lambo, and the possibility of a line of cars parked on the side of the road led to the rapidly dimished rection time of both drivers. Just for reference, the crash happens at the junction of Sloane and Wilbraham Place, if you want to take a butchers, and the side of the road that may have been obstructed has just a single yellow line.

Also, curiously, looking at google treetview, there's a small traffic island that doesn't appear to be in the video, which is lucky, given the circumstances

Yeah, from experience, my mk 2 Astra had an almost identical wallop from a Ford Escort tearing down the outside lane of a 3 lane dual carriageway which couldn't be seen due to trees etc.and the cops and insurance company all said the blame lay with me for the pulling out, the speed etc. of the other car, the fact he swerved into me and then "parked" his car on the other side of the road whereas I ended up spinning 360 degrees (very similar to the Lambo here except I think he clips the Beemer which straightens him up again) and the fact he bent the front chassis leg of a 4 year old Astra were of no consequence because the main fault was the pulling over a give way without ensuring safe to do so.

Similar thing to someone just deciding to stop dead in front of you, you rear end them, your fault.

Apparently it's one of those stupid rules that defeats it's own argument as if it was safe to pull out then the acident would not have occurred etc.

Even the damage to that Mazda is bringing back the horrible memories :-/

when the camera pans right at 0.39 you can see a double decker bus so the mazda driver would not have seen the Lambo coming at all...
