Amazon Prime Day

alfie noakes (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 12th July 2016, 11:15

Don't know if anyone is keeping an eye on this.

Genuinely tempted by a Flymo robot mower for £350 (I've got a large garden which is like painting the Forth Bridge mowing-wise) although I know I won't.

I'd be interested if anyone sees any tempting offers on stuff...

2 weeks in Canada and then having to pay for £275 vets visit for my cat and £100 for a new shower within 24 hours of getting back to the UK means nothing for me this time.

I did have an email from them that Gibson guitars were going to be included so I was tempted to take a look, but not now.

I've not got prime, but a look through hukd showed lots of cold votes for prime deals.

don't know if that's because there aren't many genuine deals, or it's just ppl moaning that it's not worth getting prime just to get these deals.

A few "bargains" I did see, seemed a typical case of the prime price was a lot lower than that for non prime customers, but looking at camelcamelgo, wasn't actually much lower than the normal price :(

I think that's normal for Amazon sales, Black Friday etc though, if you're careful/lucky there are a few real bargains to be had, but as a whole it's mostly filler, little killer :(

Yes you have to do your research to find the real bargains. But things like the fire stick is definitely worth having for £20 and other Amazon brand stuff like kindles are pretty good deals.

I just got a fire stick for £9.99 by setting up a new account to get a prime free trial and using this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prime-special-offer-Audible-3-month/dp/B00ZSL6K28?tag=myrev09-21
