Page 1 of What's happened to Nonags?
General Forum
Nonags, the long-established freeware/shareware site, briefly disappeared a few weeks back, having apparently changed its domain name from nonags.com to nonags.org; but that domain has also subsequently gone offline. Nonags' Facebook page, which was available up to a few days ago, is also no more.
Curiously, I can find no comments on Google from other users regarding the disappearance - does anyone have an insight as to what's happened?
A cached comment on the Facebook page implies they had a server failure and were trying to recover without much success.
I guess the number of active users of the website isn't high enough or crosses online communities enough to generate much caring. If you swap domains and sell your most well known one to a casino site, you'll have lost a lot of users through that alone, I suspect.
Still do not understand why any website in this day and age can die and not be resurrected within 24 hours. Have people not heard of backups? :(
