I guess when you are desperate, you'll do anything to stay afloat.
They should have rebranded themselves to OnePoundFiftyLand instead.

I noticed these ads are on social media, as they likely would not get away with it on nation telly here (if Poundland could afford it).
In Australia we tend to get away with more cheeky ads on TV, especially local ads in the cinema, which is less scrutinised.

We got a new Poundland on our high street in time for the holiday. It’s right next to two other pound stores. The competition for cheap tat is fierce!
