Another part of my childhood film going passes... RIP.
(2020 just keeps on giving, and we've still December to get through!)
FFS!!!! If I was over 60 (only saying that because I'm not yet barely) I would be s***ting myself for the rest of the year :(
RIP
I vividly remember meeting Dave when I was 7, waaaay back in 1980. He came to our school as the Green Cross Code man and gave an hour long presentation on road safety, which was capped off by a live performance of his hit song.
I think at some point he picked me up and we spoke about that one time a car clipped me when i wasn't looking. It was like being picked up by a house. Just before he left he made sure we all knew to go and watch Empire when it came out a month later.

RIP the Green Giant...
like Pete-MK, I have memories of him coming to school, i remember the school in the hall, having an assembly, and him giving out Green Cross Code items.
RIP..... and now its time to jog your memory in the video below, which is correct? :D
'Luke, I am your father' or 'No, I am your father'
I remember it as 'Luke, I am your father'
RIP Dave Prowse!
I think whilst his physical presence as Darth Vader is immense, his friendly Green Cross Code Man is such a part of my childhood I will always remember him for that.

Forgot about that....He must have saved a lot of pedestrians with his Green cross code, just as Jimmy Saville with 'clunk click every trip' (wear seat belts).
