I read something in a music (Q) magazine a while ago about something similar for music CD`s.

It is supposed to be available from music stores, such as HMV, and I think it is like a polish which fills in any fine scratches which the laser may catch and skip on.

Cannot remember what it was called unfortunately, but it will be available from large music/cd outlets.

Another option for new discs is a protection film that is applied to the read side of the disc. These are clear CD sized discs so the disc can still be read. These are also available form music stores.

Hope this helps!

go to www.7dayshop.com and look in the clearance section and scroll right to the bottom of the page, they are selling off the skip doctor for £17.99 which normally retails at £29.99.
this will repair scratches and polishes the dvd but it will not repair deep scratches.
i`ve read good reviews for this product on an american site and have ordered myself one.

hope this helps

WHSmith sell a polishing kit that consists of a small bottle of polish and a soft cleanig cloth for £2.99.

I used it on a couple of cd`s that were skipping badly and some DVD`s which were a mass of coloured blocks on certain chapters.

Everything is fine since I polished them, and all for 3 quid!!!
