websense

Hi there,
My company have suddenly started using Websense to stop me wasting time surfing whilst at work! I thought that was the reason I went to work! Anyway, does anyone know a way round this or can they point me in the right direction to somewhere that might know?
Cheers

When I was at college websense was introduced. I don`t think there is anyway around it. All webpages pass through it and URLs are checked. There used to be a workaround by e-mailing somebody the forbiddon URL to a Hotmail account and opening it from the e-mail message, this no longer works though,

Anyway your boss won`t thank you for disabling websense. So GET OFF DVD REVIEWER AND GET ON WITH YOUR WORK!!!!

What sort of software is "Websense"? Is it the sort of thing that stops you from checking the Scunthorpe United website, or is it a bit more sophisticated than that?

It stops people looking at (some) entertainment, sport and naughty sites. So, Mike if your work gets it that means no free nude pics of Michelle Scully - which can only be a good thing.
