After I changed my Bose Lifestyle 28 from country code 1 to 2 successfully, I can offer to do the same for you if you send me your media center. If you are interested, please let me know.

Hmmm thanks, but i have a Region 2 machine anyway so going from 1 to 2 ain`t much use to me.
Anyway, Is this procedure reversable? can you change from one region to another or is it fixed region after you`ve played with it?

Hello,
i have a original update for the Lifestyle 28/35. Various firmware changes must be made. Nothing is changed at the hardware, only the software is updated!

Please let me know what exactly shows up written on LS28/35 display when you push `STORE` and HOLD and push `ENTER`, one, two... (Homecode, Regioncode, SW...)

I have successfully changed once from 1 to 2. Then not again, because the regioncode puts down its name tightly. I suspect that one then must make this expensive procedure again and again!

Hi,
I am a little confused reading your message. Are you telling us changing the Region Code is just a matter of pressing a couple of buttons on the remote? Could you e-mail (ressul.m[at]moc.eticxe) me the description of what you did and tell me if this change from Region Code one to two is reversible?
Thanks
Markus

Hello,

Like Marcus, I`m a little confused. Can you confirm - have you managed to convert the Bose Lifestyle 28/35 to region free? Please let us all in on the changes needed/hack `cos I`m dying to convert my Lifestyle 35 to region free!

Does anyone else know how to convert the Lifestyle 35 to region free?

Hello,
My Bose system is not a multi-region system!
I have changed the region code from 1 to 2, via firmware update
(DVD-ROM 1502 and Bose Mediacenter).
First I changed the Region Code to 0 with success. But the Bose system played the DVD only briefly. So I changed it back to 2 and it works perfectly.
At the moment you have to decide for one region code! You cannot change between these three so easily.

Greetings Heiko

Hi,

I read that you have changed your Lifestyle 28 from region 1 to region 2. I want to make the same (I don`t care if it`s not reversable). Please send me the details (no matter how technical they are) to the following mail : "mailto:pmetkj[at]moc.ixatten" class="decrypt"

Thanks in advance

John
