Page 1 of Region Hack for Proline DVD-2000??

We all know there is a hack for the Proline DVD-1000, but my mate is getting the 2000 very soon, is there a hack for it?

Just bumping this up because I`d like to know what the hack is as well! Have u tried the Wharfdale 750s hack? just a wild guess because previous models have shared hacks and I know the 750s has a dif hack to its predecessors.....

I have just bought a Proline DVD-2000 and was told it was the same crack as the 1000.. Wrong. I have tried the Samsung hacks with no luck. If you find a crack please post it and I will do the same.

Do you have Prolines address or better still do you know if they have a web site.

I get my Proline 2000 on Friday. It MUST have a hack because it is advertised on comet`s site as converting NSTC for Pal only tvs ( which would be a pretty pointless comment if it didn`t play NSTC!! ) Have u had any problems with lip sync? after purchasing my player I was told by a friend that this was a problem? also in what ways does it differ to the 1000? any info would be appreciated! Did u try the wharfdale hack? As soon as I find one I`ll post it - somebody must know!!!!

make sure that the draw is empty and closed, then press power then menu , then 1,6,7, then press region number wanted or mute for all regions, then press exit.
the 2000 has dts flowthru and no instant subtitle key like the 1000.
no problems with lipsync or any discs(matrix,,jaws, or gladiator disc 2)

lol thankyou again! I already thanked you on the dvd forum - tee hee! I really needed the subtitle key on my Proline 1000 because it used to have subtitles as default on a few disks ( Tarzan was one ) - hopefully that won`t happen either!

thank you for both.btw don`t take any notice of the rubbish product discriptions on the comet site (i think that they must have been written by a bunch of blindfolded penguins), when i looked at the proline features about a fortnight ago it was supposed to have a screensaver function which covered two lines of writing.after i complained by email to comet the discription vanished - what a useless bunch of *******.
