Hack Help Forum
got 1 of these today plays mp3`s,audio cdr`s,svcd but won`t play vcd`s any ideas to get round this problem & anybody know if there is macro-disable/region hacks
Cheers TSB
no hack so far only firmware upgrade.
vcd was taken out of it, but if you convert the vcd to mpeg1 vobs with 48khz audio, it should work
When you say that VCD was taken out of it do you mean the machins specs or only after you apply the firmware upgrade?
I looked at the nerd out web site and it said that there are both a 1Mb and a 512k version of the player. Does anybody know which one Asda are selling?
Cheers,
Paul
ASDA ARE ONLY SELLING THE 512K VERSION I THINK YOU WILL BE HARD PUSHED TO FIND A 1MB VERSION.ALL THE INFO FOR THIS MACHINE INCLUDING HOW TO TELL WHICH IS THE 512 OR THE 1MB IS ON THE NERD WED SITE.FROM WHAT I`VE READ THE OLD VERSION DID`NT HAVE THE "B" AT THE END OF THE MODEL NUMBER ALL THESE LATEST VERSIONS WILL NOT PLAY VCD`S BUT THERE IS A WORKAROUND WHICH YOU WILL FIND ON THE NERD FORUMS
I checked out that site, and I was wondering if somebody could tell me what software to use to burn the cd. Any help, or an idiots guide on how to do it would be much appreciated, as I have no experience of these things.
Thanks in advance!

Has anybody got this to work. When I burned the CD (according to the instructions) and putthe disk in I just get a folder view of the CD saying RootMenu?
Ant theories?
Cheers,
Paul
OK I still can`t get the CD to work correctly. Anyone want to give me step by step instructions for Nero 5.5.
However reading through the nerd-out forums I think that I may have a 1MB player. The TV-Type option is in the general page. Is this correct?
Can somebody please help
Cheers,
Paul
OK it would appear that the UK and US models are different and that at the moment there is no multiregion hack for it. Great!
Paul
the muulti region firmware out now is for the US which means you will lose scart ability as the yanks dont know what the f*ck a scart is!
they use either SVHS or component
Where is the Nerd website referred to here?
Many thanks,
Guy
