multi region out of the box!

Thanks for the reply but it seems not to play region 1 straight from the box any suggestions?

I have the same machine and yes it is not multi-region out of the box.
The 140 model is, and there is a new 142 model on the market, but i don`t know if this is multi-regional. I have posted a note on the total dvd forum board, but have not had any luck with it yet. I think what is required is an engineers code in order to enter the factory settings section in the menu. If i get any info regarding our problem i`ll let you know, meanwhile my finger`s acheing trying different code combinations on the remote.

Colin, you are right, Ive tried all known Bush hacks without success. The only way forward is to get the engineers code to get to the factory settings, Ive tried quite a few also but no success yet.
