Page 1 of LG 3220 needs hacking...

Anyone out there know of a hack for my LG 3220??

Remote hack preferred obviously, but if you know of a way, then I`m interested.

Lo m8,

I have LG3200E and did this remote hack and it works on mine and also the AIWA370.

Turn player to stand by

Then power up with no disc in

Press pause on remote

Enter 314159

Then the word "CoDe" appear on player screen

Enter the regoin u want ie..0 for mutli region, 1 for us 2 for Uk/eurpoe..etc

Press pause

Turn to stand by again and wait a few seconds

Then power back up

And it may work

If it hasnt worked it will be due to firmware and will need to be modded


Note....Not all LG players are remote hackable..

Thanks for the info, unfortunately after trying a few times, there was no response after entering the 6 digit code.

Any suggestions as to where to go to get the firmware modded??

Don`t mind doing it myself, being a sparky an all that.

Why don`t the damn things come with a little button on the remote that does it for you....

We can mod the unit for you .... £60 including return carriage ... the mod involves removing the firmware chip (48 pin surface mount) erasing and reprogramming it !!!

Is there any limit to the number of times it can be switched? I`ve heard (maybe incorrectly) the some DVD players can only be switched a certain number of times...?
