Has anyone found a multi region hack for this player?

The manual refers to a `local E` setting in the prerences menu however
this does not apear on screen.

Is there any other model like this? (ie that this player is based on!)

I have the Pacific 1002 and found this hack. It also worked for the Schneider 857 that my freind has got.

1.Ensure a region 2 disk is in the player.
2.Press "setup"
3.Press "7" for bypass region code.
4.Press "Pause/Step.
5.Press previous (This is the ¦<< button)
6.Press next (This is the >>¦ button)
7.Press "setup"
8.Try a region 1 dvd.

Although you will not see any change or menus when going through this procedure it does work.

You seem to have it sussed people.

The hack worked fine on my player.

Shame there`s no macrovision dissable but you can`t win `em all.
