Have already done the multi region hack advised by this site and that works. But still can`t watch VCD`s and SVCD`s. I know some players do have a hack for vcd`s does anyone know of one for this player. THANKS STAN

Try the following, load a svcd/vcd disk, as the disk is loading, press and hold down the "goto" button on your remote control(it will take practice).if you are doing it properly, one of 2 things will happen, the disk will automatically start playing or you will be presented with a task bar at the top of your tv screen.You will see the format that is going to be played, ie svcd/vcd and four dashes in the left hand corner. all you have to do is press the buttons "ooo1 on your remote and then the play button.
The disk will then play.

Hi Gateway just a quick note thanks for speedy reply. Q. this hack of holding goto button when VCD about to play have you done this yourself or do you have info that it works? Have been trying for about 10mins no success if you say you have done this on this machine I will keep on trying.

NO1STAN, This hack definately works as i use it every day on my machine, the nack is getting to hold the GOTO BUTTON pressed down as the disk is loading in to the machine, this hack or though a bit messy is the only way possible at this moment in time.
Keep trying it took me about 30/40 mins to suss it out the first time i used it.

This machine uses the same chip and firmware as the Alba 108 and the Bush 2023 - they are all made by Mico in China. Another vcd approach is to press 1 fast and repeatedly as the vcd is loading up. Timing is everything in this business "its all in the thumb!"
