Any news yet on newer firmware version on the above player, which cannot be hacked with the remote or a One for all???

Well, nobody has responded to my plea for help yet (in terms of offering to lend me their firmware, anyway), so it remains a mystery for the time being!

It would be good to create an online archive of firmware versions similar to the one that exists for the 709 at

http://members.tripod.com/samsung709/

to allow DIY upgrades, but obviously that`s not possible if people aren`t willing to share the firmware they have.

TBH I suspect it`s the older firmware versions which can`t be hacked, not the newer ones. I`ve looked at version 4.03 (older version) and can`t find the hack codes anywhere.
