Help needed with NAIKO N1170 hacks.

Recently bought a NAIKO N1170 dvd player.

Tried to play films on CDR disks. Disk wouldn`t load - message was "Disk error, PBC on".

Any ideas what this is and how to switch it off?

Any other useful hacks known for this machine?

Sorry guys this player will only play mpeg files - my machine is going back to macro tomorrow ;-(
