Good Start!
Try the hacks for either the Apex range of players OR the Naiko N-2051, Try the latter first.
IF it doesnt work post here and Ill see if my mate at woolies know the actual hack!

(1) Open the tray
(2) Press Setup
(3) Press Stop
(4) Press Skip Back, ¦<<
(5) Press Skip Forward, >>¦
(6) Select Bypass for multi-region
If its a no goer post Ill keep an eye out!

Try the hack for the SCAN SL440 as my brother worked with that one
