Philips dvd750 hack, one time hack?
If I use this hack for a dvdr880 using a one4all remote and the code 121 212 005 001 will this make my player multi-region permanently, or do I still have to change backwards and forwards for different region discs.

No, that is the code for region one only, to change back to region two the code is 121 212 005 002. But apparantly you can make it region free with this code 121 212 005 255 but I`ve tried it on my DVDR 880 and it hasn`t worked for me, even with a oneforall remote. You are also supposed to change the settings on the DVD from DVD recorder to DVD player in the remote control section. Try the code, reply if it works.

Thanks DLT for your advice. The 121 212 005 255 code seems to have been accepted O.K.on my m/c. I seem to remember seeing somewhere about doing this with the drawer open, then gently pushing it closed (instead of pushing open/close button on the front panel) when the code has been entered, but I am not absolutely certain about that.
It would be nice if all the tips were in one place wouldn`t it?

Dunce, I`m glad it worked for you..............what oneforall are you using? What was the code to configure the remote? Didi you do it with the drawer open or did you leave it closed? Did you use the play 159 procedure cause I`ve seen it written somewhere that you use the oneforall press the MAGIC key then input 085 and this brings up the dashes on the machine.....do you know anything about this?
RE: Philips dvd750 hack, one time hack?
I have the one4all 6 (URC7562) and as I had already set it up to control my DVD using the 0539 code I started with the tray empty and closed, pressed "magic" then entered "085". The dashes appeared on the front panel, so I entered "121 212 005 255", pressed "play", then turned the DVD off at the mains, waited about 15 seconds then turned it back on.
Hope you can get yours to work this way!

Hi
I have a Philips dvd622 and tried both hacks. I found that the code was accepted ok but found that after pressing play, the onscreen display wouldnt show the words `no disc`. Did you have this problem and how did you over come this?
Thank you
