Multi-Region Hacks for Bush DVD-2024
have tried the hack mentioned in this site , but it wont work? Strange thing is , there are also hacks for vcd/svcd , but mine plays these straight from the box ? Anyone got ideas about this as to where im going wrong , or other. TIA

That`s funny - the 2024 is supposed to be multi-region out of the box! What actually happens when you try to play a non-R2 DVD?

I think there`s some confusion over the different Bush models (2023, 2024, 2025 etc.) hence the conflicting hack information.

Seems to me everyone whose bought a bush dvd2024 has a different playing problem?? Im on my second unit.The first one played all regions straight from the box including VCD/SVCD.Had to take it back on warranty as it broke.The next one I received plays all formats but I cant get sound on svcd although I do on vcd.Wierd or what?? Anyone else had the same problemand got round it ?please let me know.Also,on all the hacks I read it says to use the goto button?? Mine doesnt have a goto button???

it`s not unheard of for these brands to suddenly change the insides while keeping the casing the same.

So, it is possible that your 2024 is based on another mobo than earlier models.

Its apparently the same hack as for the bush dvd 2023

It`s likely a firmware, rather than a hardware difference.

People have reported the same thing with the Alba 114, which is the exact same player under a different name.

I tried the multi region hack on my 2024A and it didnt work however vcds etc have always worked as do "backup copies" . However as of yesterday I can no longer play commercial dvds , the unit claiming "wrong region" Tried a region 1 disc that wont work either. Anyone got any ideas? Tried to contact Bush but they seem not to want to speak to me. ah ha...decided to try the alba 104 hack..lo & behold BINGO havent tried r1 yet but at least the kids will be happy ...

does ANYBODY anywhere in the world have a hack for the BUSH 2025 DVD player??

or has anybody even heard of it??
i think im the only person in this world to have got one...

any ideas??

Mate mine is a 2025 but the hack is supposedly the same as the 2024.Ive found that this doesnt work on mine so tried the Alba 104 hack and that one worked fine but after speaking to different people thro forum,everbody that has a bush 2024 has different problems with playing.Read the replies in the forum above this one and youll see what I mean.Good luck.
