i am interested in buyin the lg3620 home cinema system. i was wunderin if it can b made multi-region and macrovision free. also can it play RCE discs??

Bought this player myself a few days ago, after searching high and low for a hack (the `normal` remote hack doesn`t work) I found the following which will make the player region free:

i) Download the .zip file from the following location:
http://members.tripod.com/aiwaownersnetwork/pages/lg/5000_series_firmware.html

ii) Unzip the file then burn the folder `RMTM0000` to a CD-R making sure that the directories stay in order.

iii) Insert the disk into your player, you will then be presented with a region change menu.

iv) Select desired region (0 for all regions).

Though the file states it`s for the LG 5000 series, it will work on any LG `DA` model.

Because you can reinsert the disk at any time and change to specific regions, RCE disks will play fine. Don`t think it removes macrovision though.
