Region Hack For Grundig GDV430

I have just bought a Grundig Dvd GDV430.
Does anyone have a hack to make it region free.
Also is there a hack which will allow it to play VCD`s.

So has my friend, I`m trying to help her get it as she really wants to watch R1 movies. If someone knows it either post it here or email me at hsa[at]moc.eporue-ebuc I`d prefer you post it here but either is ok. Thanks very much.
