Page 1 of need to know how to get back to the virgin menu on philips dvd 751

can someone please tell me how to get back to the virgin menu as i need to sort out my firmware, thanks

Virgin mode reset:
Power on with these keys pressed OPEN/CLOSE together with PLAY.
After this sequence, the player displays "VIRGIN MODE" for a few seconds, and then powers-off. After powering on again (with Stand By button), the initial virgin mode selections and menus appear on the TV screen.

To check your current firmware version of the DVD player:
Power on your DVD and television. Select the DVD channel (if it`s not already). Press the  menu button. Go to the most left menu-item. Go to "Access Control / status window / low power standby menu". Keep pressing the down button, untill you get your firmware version.

I wan`t to know what virgin menu means,
What it do more than the normal menu?
Sorry i`m new in dvd players.

My guess is that it just puts the player in its initial factory settings.

For example if you`ve been screwing around with some region hacks and the player starts doing strange stuff, then you could go to "Virgin" mode so everything`s back to normal.

I`m not sure if Virgin Menu puts the player in "Virgin Mode"... It turns the player like brand new in terms of settings (language, TV format, sound adjustments...) but I don`t know if this can remove codes if you`ve been playing with "PLAY 159..." stuff.

Is there another way to hack the Philips 751 without needing and All for One Remote Control?

Is it possible to do it using a Sky Digital Remote? (they can be tuned to operate the TV)

Don`t try RC6 hack with the Philips remote. It won`t work properly...
