Page 1 of DTH-6000 Cold Start and Hack

Just bought a Thomson DTH-6000 (a combined VHS and DVD Player) and noticed is not on you list of possible hack to make it Zone Free. Anyway I tryed the usual "Thomson" method (Cold start; language options; Release the PLAY and STOP buttons blah blah blah...) and I noticed is not working (It doesn`t react to the cold start input to be precise...). Could be nice if you someone will find a way to hack also this pretty popular (at least here in Italy and France) player.

How frustrating!!

This player is probably made by Daewoo.Try this hack that works with Daewoo players:

Press ON (set VCR/DVD option to DVD)
Press Open (disc tray ejects)
Press : 0 5 2 0 ( zero five two zero )
Press : Up Down Left Right (^) (v) (<) (>) (cursors surrounding setup button)
Region free message appears in top left corner
In order to set region code again repeat this sequence.

Found a successful hack at www.dvd365.net/hacks/thomson.htm

Multi-Region:

Power On the device
Open the tray
Keeping Eject (for VHS) pressed, press Rewind, Forward "FFD" (for DVD) for 3-5 seconds

Works without problem

Tryed a few times but it doesn`t work.

When you say "press Rewind, Forward "FFD" (for DVD) for 3-5 seconds", do you mean press Eject and REW+FW (three button keep pressed simoultaneously) or just keep pressed Eject and then press REW, release i,t and and then press FW?

How many tryes it has taken to you to get it work? I`ve read somewhere on the Web that you shoud keep trying for several times in order to make this hack working. Personally I tryed many many times with no luck...

Hold all buttons down at same time
VHS eject with left hand and DVD Rew & FFD with right.
Dispaly will change when complete.
