Hi All..
I own a Toshiba SD-1300, MP3, CD-R and CD-RW, PAL/NTSC I cant find any DVD Player Handset Hacks for my model the thing is this paticular DVD player is sold in the States (USA) as a Multi-Region DVD Player - yet My Same model (Australian) is locked as a "Region 4" surely there has to be some way around this.

I am in search at the moment for a handset hack, if this is not possible I will manually alter the internal settings only I need some more info regarding the "internal region lock" on my specifec unit.

the reason I write to you is that whilst looking for my model on of DVD player on your site - it said that "No Toshiba or Sony DVD player can be unlocked via Handset" but I just been browsing Ebay and you should see what this dude is selling - and making the sales too. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3002790722

if you can offer any advise to me regarding my paticular player, I would be greatly in your debt - this dvd player is out of warranty too.. so any damage incurred is my fault - and I`m not to worried if anything goes wrong as I am in the market for a multiregion dvd player eitherway.

Hi the toshiba can be multiregioned either by downloading the cue and bin files from the french site or you can do the same thing by the easier method on the remote,depends wich way you prefer

This is an older DVD player, and the £50 multi-region, mp3, vcd, svcd all singing all dancing `yamada` cheap as chips will play everything you want - and you can get it off Amazon.co.uk.

BUT if you are in love with the Toshiba SD2109 or Toshiba SD100 YOU CAN hack them via the remote as follows to play region one disks.

TOSHIBA RCE DISC HACK
TO PLAY RCE DISC REGION 1 DO THE FOLLOWING:

SD2109/SD100

1) LOAD DISC AND CLOSE

2) WAIT FOR "REGION MAP" WARNING MESSAGE TO APPEAR

3) PRESS "MEMORY" KEY (REMOTE)

4) HIGHLIGHT TITLE (T _ _) AND ENTER "01" BY PRESSING "1" KEY

5) HIGHLIGHT CHAPTER (C _ _) AND ENTER "01" BY PRESSING "1" KEY

6) PRESS "PLAY" AND "CLEAR

7) DISC SHOULD NOW PLAY RIGHT THROUGH.
