Page 1 of Can anyone help with Philips DVDR-880 problem?

I hacked the Philips DVDR-880 using the info on this site and since then whatever disc I insert I get a message telling me that the region code of the disc is not right for the player (I paraphrase - can`t remember the exact message on screen). Before the hack the player was R2 only. Is there any way to set the machine back to its original status? I have tried all of the 12 number codes suggested on the site and none make any difference. All help very gratefully received. Thanks - Keith
